How to Backup and Restore your Device Drivers ?

If you are planing to re-install your operating system than you should back up your device drivers unless you have original drivers from your manufacturer saved on flash drive or CD.
While installing Windows 7 most of the drivers are already integrated with the system and once you finish instillation process all or most most devices should work properly.
But as always there are some cases where windows wont recognize one ore more device drivers.
Lets say you just installed windows and you graphic card is not supported , no problems .. just go to manufacturers website , download and install drivers. Yes, but what if your wireless card is not functional due to missing drivers, well that could be a problem if you don't have drivers on flash drive or CD.
Your Drivers are located in ..\Windows\System32\Drivers and you could just save whole folder somewhere but that can be problem as well , after re-installing windows and copying Drivers folder back you will most likely find out that still some drivers are not working. In some cases it works great , it depends of what devices you have in your machine.
If you don't have your original drivers and want to do something about that quickly and easy than I recommend using third party software such as Double Driver.
I use portable version , no need to install and I keep Double Driver and drivers safe on my flash drive.
Once you have Double Driver downloaded, run it and follow instructions to backup drivers:
"Backup-Scan current system" and check drivers to backup, by default non Microsoft drivers are selected since they are supported by Windows OS. Hit "Backup", insert path where to save drivers and that's it.
It is the same process to restore drivers, just you will click "Restore" and than under "Other Location" locate restore path to your backup that was created earlier.

Important:
Make Sure you run Double Driver as administrator.
Right click on application and choose "run as administrator".
