Browser History, Cookies and Cache Files

Every time you visit webpage on internet your browser will record that in its history folder that
can be accessed easily later on. By default browser will keep history for 30 days and than it will be deleted.

Cookies, also known as browser cookies or web cookies are usually small files stored to your browser
while you are browsing a website. If you visit same website in future this data can be retrieved and will
notify website of your previous activity. There are also tracking cookies that are commonly used to
compile long term records of your browsing history.

There are also authentication cookies that are used in certain websites,  web servers to know
whether user is logged in and under which account they are logged.
Cache file is a memory file that can be accessed quickly by your browser and it can contain
certain information such as user names and passwords.

We mentioned before that by default browser will keep history for 30 days but that can be changed.
You can set your browser to delete such files weekly, daily or even every time you exit your browser.
It might be a little different for for each browser, here is example for Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer
Go to internet explorer "Tools" and then click "Internet options" - click "Delete" to remove current history.
To delete history every time you exit browser check box next to "Delete browsing history on exit"
Under "Browsing History" click "Settings" and set Temporary Internet Files to check for never version of
stored pages to "Every time I visit webpage" additionally you can adjust hard disk space usage and set
how many days should internet explorer keep history.
